Floating Responsive Prototype is an experiment in using water as a ‘platform’ for motion to happen.
Simple, yet so subtle that it responds to my casual movements around the studio.
Part of early explorations towards a precise and fluid responsive mechanism interface.
In this early stages prototype I’m experimenting with centrifugal force, Through a rotation movement of the fingers a surface of red below the yellow and above the blue is exposed and increases/decreases depending on the speed of rotation.
A scale monument in bronze
tribute to a wood lice
expression of the small
a large room
and only this
making stuff up
If I make a thing, that is what it is; a thing I have made.
To make a decision
based on this thing through shape, form, proposition.
I made a thing
I made this thing up
feeling that much of the realisation presented is illusory
This creature exists only in this representation, if convincing then perhaps it is a hoax:
pretending to possess an authenticity within the real.
(Otherwise, this is an undiscovered creature, which may very well become extinct prior to ever being scientifically documented.)
It only exists as this.
